Oh Crap Moment

I uploaded this before with my previous account, but here it is again. The "Oh Crap Moment" when scientists playing around with high energy physics trigger an unexpected cataclysmic event because their theories weren't quite as accurate about reality as the computer simulations had implied. GIGO rules!

Humanity has a bad habit of getting stuff wrong and screwing things up a lot!

Don't bother arguing with me that it could "never" happen, just hope that it doesn't in your lifetime.

This picture is inspired mostly by the old FPS game "Forsaken" from Probe.

I made it from a combination of NASA stock photos of the Earth from space, and the Sun during a solar storm, in GIMP, adding a few touches and changes of my own.
